Backplate?

Hiya,

Was wondering, how do you go about putting a backplate in your interior renders? I went to take some pictures and usually I just put a plane with a corona light material.
However in this case it doesn't seem to work well, so I 'm starting to doubt if this is the correct workflow lol.

Do you guys do it in post or?

Tips are much appreciated.
