the color of the hair should be like the surface on the roots.
c4d standard renderer ok
switching to corona - all hairs have the same color

You must add texture into Roots channel (1) and uncheck Surface (2) in Hair Material -> Color
Check screen below.

Hi!

Any update on this issue? I guess the color channel of the Cinema Hair Material is completely ignored by corona, isn't it?
So how could this be solved?

Greetings,
Moritz

Since the last Corona 4 daily build you can use any corona material on the hair object.
Corona doesnt adopt the material from the base object like C4d does. You have to put the texture in the material on the hair object.
Scene attached. You can juse the standard material in corona 4 or the hair material in corona 3.

Hi diviz,

thanks for your answer and sorry for my late reply :)
So you're saying, that the "get color from texture" feature only works since corona 4 and not in the official release 3 (hotfix 1)?

If so, thats a bit disapointing, since i do not want to risk updating 11 production machines to a daily version which maybe screws other things up.

But well...seems i have to wait for the official release of cr4

Thanks anyway!

Greetings,
Moritz
