There is a proposal to change the material editor, the images are presented with options like you can change the editor

of the left - Material Editor | A6 RC1
of the right - Material Editor | Custom

we'd love to take that feedback. But - could you please, for each change, explain why you need it, what it would be useful for? This way, we'll be able to make a better informed decision. Thanks!

All these changes lead to a form editor in 3DS Max, nothing more

+1 for me too.

Would the level slider work like a general contrast / exposure boost? Increasingly Ive been using the exposure adjustment below the bitmap slot in the standard c4d bitmap loader to get better contrast in my maps. Im finding the filter shader OK but sometimes it just muddies or clips the maps. Id love better control over imported textures - perhaps adding more features to the corona bitmap loader?

Hi, your suggestions really make sense and would be useful for better usability. We already have a plan to review these parts of UI but we didn't find time to do it yet. I hope you understand.

tho.. the best i've seen is Arnold Shader Network integration: nodal & very similar to that of Max
