Hi Leon,
we are updating plugin to support physical materials and some shader more.
Please stay tuned.

Hi, also R25! :-)

This looks like it might solve a certain use-case of mine.

Does the conversion handle Roughness properly, e.g. by inverting the Glossiness texture?

And how about Opacity?
... Also I attach a picture of this. On the right 2 Corona Materials; on the left the converted ones

Hi Bengamin,
I've already sent to you an email at 2021-02-02 with a copy of plugin as you requested.
If you do not find it please tell me and I'll resend it.
Have a Great day.

Hi all,
for all interested I've developed a Cinema 4D plugin named CoronaToC4D.
It converts basically Corona materials to Cinema 4D native.
This plugin has the intent to favorite fbx,obj etc export because Cinema 4D doesn't support it for 3thy part materials.
Please consider that not all Corona features (shaders) are supported.
You can find it at Gumroad here:
https://gum.co/vFxpJ

On the roadmap I'm updating to support new physical materials and I'm developing another plugin to bake all shaders at once!

Also available a VrayToC4D converter that converts V-Ray materials to Cinema 4D native.

Ps. For Corona Team: I'm waiting response to know if you can show my plugin in plugin tab on resource page... Any news?
All the best.

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: C4d Corona to Vray convert
« on: 2021-03-13, 11:34:34 »
Hi JohnNinos,
I've developed a plugin named CoronaToC4D that converts into C4D materials.
After that you can use V-Ray converter fer second step.
You'll find my plugin on Gumroad under my profile (Kosmos3D).
Hope it helps you.

Hi.
It doesn't work at all neither in c4d 16 or 15.
this is output in console:
------------------------------
CMC: Converting Material "Nuovo"
CMC: Material type: Cinema 4D Material
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "h:\Program Files\MAXON\CINEMA 4D R15\plugins\CoronaMatConverter\core\converterdlg.py", line 55, in Command
  File "h:\Program Files\MAXON\CINEMA 4D R15\plugins\CoronaMatConverter\converter\converter.py", line 112, in convertMaterials

  File "h:\Program Files\MAXON\CINEMA 4D R15\plugins\CoronaMatConverter\converter\corona.py", line 154, in transfer
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'CORONA_MATERIAL_ALPHA'

My configuration is:
OS: win 8.1
C4D: 15.037 (also tried in R16: same message)
Corona: A1.2
Also noticed that my OS is on c:\ and not on h:\ as shown in output message.

Hope this can be useful.

Hi all,
I tried different Win OS and different 3ds Max versions.
I found a bug when installed 3ds Max Design 2015 after all worked succesfully with 2014 version.
Message on log was "unsupported 3ds Max version: 2015".
I resolved issue manually changing file DrConfig.txt.
You have only to add word 2015 followed by 3ds Max 2015 path.
EG:
2013 C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max Design 2013\
2014 C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max Design 2014\
2015 C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max Design 2015\

Hope this will help if the case.
Regards.

My second post: great texturing job with Corona. In 40 min it reached 100 passes at 3840 x 2400 px of resolution... Amazing.
Notes:
- 3ds Max was crashing when stopping a network rendering in few cases.
- brick wall was blurred a little bit when in network rendering. Resent to a single machines rendered correctly.

To developers: did you already found theese behaviours?

- great quality when saving as EXR.

Thanks, I found it at cgtextures.com. Is a wonderful and free repository of textures.
