Title: Lecagy to Physical material converter for C4d
Post by: rojharris on 2021-07-12, 11:20:24
Hello,

I'm sure this has been addressed before but my searches aren't finding anything... Is there a converter to go from legacy to the new physical materials? For C4d?

Thanks

Don't expect miracles, though.

Thanks Man! I totally missed that... Not expecting miracles but it's a good first step when there's lots to do I guess.

:-)

What would you gain from this? are the physical materials visually more accurate?

Not necessarily but I convert a lot of FBX files and I'd rather convert to Physical material going forward. I like the way the anisotropy works and the clearcoat layer too. Legacy is fine, its just a personal preference.

I see, I only asked for my own curiousity. I started converting to physical now as well.
