Max freeze for a long time after stopping IR and sometimes regular render

hi,
iam facing the same problem, whenever the scene is heavy i cant stop therender without a freez.... the render goes very well till the end but once i hit cancel or stop here comes the freez.
i have been facing this problem since years but it seems that there is no solution for it !

I think the best thing you can do is use the latest 3ds Max (22 or 23) and the latest Corona renderer.
