Hi guys!

So here is the simple math. We are looking at buying a server node to help our rendering farm. Currently we have 2 good offers from both Intel and the new AMD Epyc platform that we are looking at both are the same budget cap.

https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-epyc-7501
https://ark.intel.com/products/120492/Intel-Xeon-Gold-6130-Processor-22M-Cache-2_10-GHz

One system is 2x AMD Epyc 7501 with 128gb ram on AMD side
Second system is 2X systems with 2x Xeon Gold 6130 with 128gb ram each

on the benchmark the stack like this: EPYC 7551 only on the benchmark for AMD but its nearly the same CPU and it has 16,548,400 rays/sec
because the Xeon Gold Variant is 64threads only on one server it looks like this: Xeon Gold 6130 11,785,600 rays/sec

Don't know if this is right but by dividing the Threads / Rays/sec i get that the Xeon Gold has more rays/sec per core and in the end that would mean its the better buy. On paper the AMD system should kill the Intel but looking at this rays/sec and times i turns out otherwise.

Can someone help me out with this since both of the options are pretty expensive and i don't want to make the wrong choice here. Both of the systems are going to be used for Corona Rendering.

Thank you for taking a look!
