Hi guys,
Is there any curvature map in Corona? I didn't find anything.
If there is no curvature map, how can we generate such a map in  Corona? I want to make a procedural texture.

To be honest I never used curvature map, can you show some images how this works?

Apart from baking curvature map externally, there are few alternatives for those that on 3ds max 2016 or older. Commercial plugin GeoMaps from Boomer Labs, or free Tension modifier.

Of course, CoronaCurvature would be nice, but that's pretty unlikely to be happen in the foreseeable future.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

For producing shots like this, you need to work out a proper curvature map alongside other textures:

Yes, it's very useful and does some things you can't do with AO, as it 'breaks' geometry into flat, concave and convex areas, not depending on thickness or occlusion. For Max 2017 PU1 and 2018 it's doable through Data Channel as posted above, but it's always geometry dependent and translates to vertex colors (coarse geometry will produce coarse results just like a vertex map) and is not available for earlier max versions. I purchased the GeoMaps plugin and it's great, no question, but it's also a bit pricy and having this as a map in Corona would be fantastic. This map has been requested 2-3 times already over the last 2 years, so let's hope we get some dev attention and some mercy one day ;)
