Title: PC Specification
Post by: fa2020 on 2020-03-02, 08:22:48
Does a 16GB DDR4 RAM has any advantage over 16 GB DDR3 in 3D works?
My system specification is:
CPU: Intel Corei7 4790k 4 GHZ
RAM 16GB DDR3 1333MHz
GPU: ASUS RADEON R9 280 3GB
HDD: 256GB SSD (Windows Installed) + 1TB HD 7200 rpm.
Is it good for interior rendering purposes?

You won't face any significant difference between ddr3 or ddr4 for rendering.

More memory is better though. 32 or more is basic amount for decent workflow.

Hi Fa2020,

Are you sure that the motherboard supports DDR4?

Cheers

Your CPU (Devil's Canyon, 6 years old), doesn't support DDR4, only DDR3.
