another trick
if you are using a mesh and using emmision option for it but dont wanna show it in the render just right click o it go to object property and uncheck visible to camera
you will have invisible mesh light  :)

i left it overnight but it got clean in around 200 passes so around 3 hours or so
faster machines would do faster

yes materials i used some randomizer scripts wanted to see how they fit and they worked fine

this was some random model in my friends library . bicycles were pretty high res so spend some time to optimize them . i am not a good modeler so well didnt worked very well .

lighting . hdri map

materials - just shaders on cyles . on the wall there is mix material with normal concrete mixed with dirt texture and a color correction node for that brown look
upper glass was simple regular glass
lower green glass has a low glossy value

render time - well after 16 mins ( 55 passes ) it was fine but there was  little grainy so i let it run 100 passes ( total 26 mins )
pt + hd
pt - 8 samples
HD cache - 1500 samples
max record - 6000

system - i5 2500k
6870
8 gb
