[Max] I need help! / Animation: noisy edges
« on: 2017-02-01, 12:37:21 »
Hello guys.
recently I start doing some animation in Corona.
As always Corona is fast and easy to use, there is just one thing I can't sort it out.
Lets' say I want to render a static car with moving cameras.
For the illumination I use an HDRI and a series of corona light mapped with  a gradient texture.
Lets' say I want to use the denoiser, at this point the big issue I find is that while I can get nice and clean surface in a reasonable time I can't get clean edges, there is always a evident flickering and the denoiser doesn't work consistently.
SO my question is, how do I get clean end consistent edges in a reasonable rendering time?

The render attached is a 45 minutes render frame, quite a lot and still when I play some frame I can see slightly flickering in the point I have marked.

Hi guys, here is some composition I have done with corona and  after effects in order to get a movie style result.

The scene is not mine, only the Vespa.

The statues are from sketchfab.com

[Max] Resolved Bugs / DR in Corona and VFB
« on: 2016-10-25, 17:52:15 »
Hi guys, I am not sure if this problem has been already posted.
Using DR via Backburner the machine that pick up the job does't show in VBF the noise level, some time is set to 0% and same time is just N/D.
Another issue in the VFB is about the passes, they are not listed, every matching show just X update and 0 passes even if the machine are actually rendering fine.

Any idea?

Thanks!

[Max] Resolved Bugs / Glass blocking the light
« on: 2016-07-18, 17:53:10 »
Hi guys,
I am not sure this is a bug, anyway here is my problem.
As you can see in the 2 screens grab I have a different behavior using the normal glass and the thin (no refraction)glass.
It looks like the light can't go through the NORMAL glass, why that is happening?

Cheers.

[Max] Resolved Bugs / Strange Behavior
« on: 2016-05-03, 10:26:58 »
Hello,
what did happen in the last days is very very strange.
I am trying to render an animation, 4 different cameras.
I am using the daily build version 1.4, i tried to use DR but the result was a series of band on my render, maybe because my scene is not very clean, some missed texture etc.
Than I tried  to render different camera on each machine, with my subscription I have got 3 render slave.
And this is the incredible part, If I am sitting at the desk looking at the machine through VNC, is like a remote desk application, everything looks like is working properly.
But if I am not at the desk and I am not looking a the rendering process, in fact I was not here during 3 days, my renders process stopped on the last frame I saw in the last hour before i left the office.
It looks like corona know your are looking at him,I know this is a nonsense.
Last frame take 86 hours, when I look at the render windows Corona saved the render and start processing the next frame, this in unbelievable.
The average frame time on my machine is 25 minutes.
Is it this relate to my kind of subscription?
Thank you.

Hardware / PC Spec
« on: 2014-11-06, 09:30:59 »
Hello Folks,
honestly I am not very good about PC spec, at the moment I am going to buy a new Intel machine.
Have a look at my configuration....Is anyone complaining about this configuration?
I don't wanna spend to much ,but this 6 core processor look more appealing than the 4 core Intel® Core™i7-4820K 3.7GHZ  or the Intel® Core™ i7-4790k 4GHZ.
Is it worth or not, and about the rest, do you have any consideration?

Cheers guy.

Work in Progress/Tests / Corona Exterior Animation
« on: 2014-03-15, 14:55:09 »
Hi guys I am trying to animated an exterior scene based on a previous render published on this forum.
I need help, I have already try a lot of different setting but I can not avoid this annoying noise in the dark areas, have a look a this few frame animated.
As you you can see on the back of the tree is much more evident the problem.
25 Minutes  per frame.
I already try PT+HD but seem to be the same.

Sorry I forgot some info about the scene.
I am using Corona Sun + Corona Environment.
