was going to try rendering this in corona, but having problems with corona going a bit crazy in memory usage despite my earlier tests (will try to find the thread in a sec)

I even got a rather amusing error message: "WTF bad allocation" or something like that ;)

any tips or anything I could try?

What Corona version and scatter did you use?  I dont see anything in the scene that could cause the problems other than scatter not doing instancing properly

Surprised because tried very hard to render the scene using high polygonal models nested in Forest Paсk and it was all excellent. The working draft is not spent more than 10GB, the total number of geometry when it was approximately 7-8 billion polygons

been digging around a bit more, this is with the jan 4th build

I used a white override material

at low forest pro density it rendered fine, using about 12gb ram, same for the other tests, but when I get to a certain density the memory usages goes crazy, over 32gb which is what i have in my system.

should i try a different build? what is the _2013 assert forestpack build all about?

cheers

yes, there was a bug in previous builds, it should be fixed in the latest dated one. The "forestpack" is just a test build for forestpack guys, ignore it

awesome work!

confirmed by my tests, the jan 8th build now renders all the geometry and still using 12gb ram.
