Title: Slicer doesn't seem to work like in version 8
Post by: lupaz on 2022-12-13, 23:14:39
Hi there,
Please, see video below. Am I missing something? Or the slicer is broken?
Using Corona 9.1 on Max 2023.2

Hey, I checked the video and I do not understand what seems to be the issue. If you exclude an object from slicer influence - it is not being sliced. If you include it - it is being sliced.

What is the behavior you are expecting?

I'm so sorry Maru. I was having an issue in a complex scene and thought doing the video on a simpler one and failed miserably. Disregard the video please.

The problem I was seeing was with a chaosScatter object, which I believe doesn't work with the slicer in version 9 but I could swear it was working on scatter objects in Corona 8.

You need to pick the original instance objects, not the Scatter object (the models that you are scattering, not the Scatter "icon" object itself). Hope that helps!
