Until the final release of Beta 2, yes. But that's Beta 2, not the final release when the first paid version is out.

It is happening during rendering, I either get the spinning wheel of death or a plugin error window pops up.

RC1 seems to be stable and is working great.
The only 'issue' I'm getting thus far is that a lot of my scene objects display as bright green in the viewport, rather than displaying their diffuse texture. Restarting my scene 'forces' most of the textures to reload. It's not scene specific. It happens on all 5 machines (Mac OS) and quite regularly. Although it is more prolific on larger scenes with high res textures.

Screenshots attached. I just opened this scene and it loaded as per the first shot. I then chose to 'revert to saved' and it re-loaded with some more textures visible, but not all...
All texture paths are correct so it's not a 'missing texture' issue 🧐

Ha ha, yeah every cloud has a green lining.
Just in case it helps, each time I load the scene the textures that display as green vary. It's entirely inconsistent! 🤯

I had a very strange rendering today. As quality minimum I had entered Noise=5%. This was almost reached with pass 80, namely 5.29%.
From then on the noise level slowly increased again with each pass (well, all 5 passes)? How can this happen?

I believe he's suggesting you right-click on your material browser and select "Render All Materials". This re-calculates all the material previews and solves (temporarily) the green-textures issue within the viewport.

Right click on "material browser" and select Render all material.... where it is, not found....!
This green can be anywhere when open file... depend on the file texture mood. In another file, all product texture is green.

just click with the right mouse button ON a material in the material browser.
Then select "Render All Material".
I have the same problem like you and this little trick helps. Its not perfect, but I am sure the corona guys will come up with a bug fix.

It is randomly.
Some time used HDR is green and some time some HDR is fine object texture showing green. Few time file close open again... all textures shows fine.
It reminds me old days when Vray was have same issue with I think R17, it was showing yellow.... and now it is green...!

It's entirely random. It changes each time the scene is loaded. Sometimes it's just a few, sometimes it can be most of the scene.
It does seem more apparent as the scene becomes more complex and is more likely if the materials are of a large resolution.

I am also experiencing this issue on OSX.
Seems to happen in every scene no matter what size. Must be something to do with loading the diffuse material. it happens when a image is used in the diffuse channel.
A quick fix is to delete all materials from material manager then CMD + Z and they reappear. For some reason this works over selecting all textures in texture manager and relinking to file path

I was testing the motion blur improvements when I ran across a new glitch, as far as I can tell. Turning on object motion blur in a scene I have with a stationary, non-cloned/noninstanced car and a stationary camera appears to shift all the car pieces from their original location.
Since nothing is moving at all, this seems like a good scene to narrow down issues. Scene and renders attached.

Hello, we're testing Corona for Cinema 4D, version B2 rc 2.
in this version green pixels appear in the rendering. we use the team renderer, all nodes have been updated to version B2 rc 2. can someone readjust this?

Displacement not working on polygon selections if object has a base material
When you apply any kind of corona material on object and then, on top of it, you apply material with displacement onto polygon selection, displacement does not show up. This used to work in some Beta 1 RC, but got broken in final Beta 1 stage and was never fixed despite being reported to Mantis.
Edit: screenshot 1 shows object material displacement being applied to polygon selection material, despite the fact it has a different displacement.

Object buffer mask in composition - bug or limitation?
If I do multipass render with object buffer and this object has Corona composition tag with all options turned off except "visible in mask", you cannot see this object in the object buffer pass
We have tried to use Material ID pass instead of object buffer mask, but this does not work either. Not sure if this is bug or limitation, but it works in C4D Standard renderer ...
We use this approach to create tracking points for post production in AfterEFfects (or any other postproduction SW) - and because of this problem we have to use C4D Standard renderer to achieve results we need.

Thank you for the bug report. I fixed the crash, but I would like to ask you whether there is some object in the scene which doesn't have assigned any material (doesn't have any texture tag)? In such case, if the material has some shader in any of its channels this channel will not affect the look of the object because object hasn't texture tag and Corona don't know what mapping it should use because meaning of the Material override is mainly to temporarily override material of all objects which already has some material assigned. Alternatively, you can use "Projector" shader to tell Corona what mapping should be used for the given channel.

Yes, this is a known issue and unfortunately cannot be solved without making compromises. Xpresso updates the scene periodically, which restarts the IR rendering. We cannot do anything about it, we can only do some workarounds, which will probably help, but as with everything in C4D, it will take some time to implement and currently we don't have that time, as we are focusing on bringing more important features and fixing crashes etc...

Scene was full of objects and it was hard to find... where is crashing.
Yes... some of them was not assigned any material.
Crash happens with only bump channel, if texture is in diffuse or in any other channel, its not crashing weather material is applied to object or not.
(attached)... to plane object no material applied, just taking diffuse color only.... no displacement because no material was applied and same function should be with bump. Spheres are getting displacement because of material applied.
And yes... before override material, any material should be applied to object, that's right...!

Till the final release... any chance to improve view of Sun and Sky objects in view port...?
after adding these.... view port stays almost same, a bit darker with sky, at least when sky added... a small hint of blue gradient feels sky is added and same for sun, a small light.

Ok, so everything's fine with a texture tag, but there are always some situations where none are assigned or some missing, with hundreds of objects. I'd fix it before the final or the tsunami of questions will wash us away like the dinosaurs (who lived near the coast).

ahahahhahaa..... I am not finding, it comes out auto, although I have to finish one or two jobs everyday so using different tools for every job and in that crash happens.
IR, I am using when texture fixing and then in lighting. Render with PV most of time.
even object is on or off.... In attachment, object is off, but cloth tag is there....!!!
IR goes crazy until remove cloth tag.
but not yet this bug confirmed from corona team side....!

that bug that turns materials yellow is still there in RC2.
It looks like the fresnel turns up because it looks more like an metal and the reflection color turn yellow. It happens when I use the filter shader.
Nodeeditor performance feels slower than RC1 while using the IR.

Yes, this is a desired output pass, but "seen by camera" means that this object will show up in beauty pass as well - and this is what we do not want to happen. That is why "seen by camera" was turned off in our scene, so you get just an object mask in this specific pass. In post-production this is pretty standard approach as you often need some extra masks, but of course you do not want to change the look of final image.

Hi, we looked at the scene and were able to fix this so it doesn't crash anymore. We have one question though - how did you create the scene? Could we reproduce the crash ourselves somehow? Why I'm asking - after the fix, the material is all black, which doesn't seem like what you intended.

hard to say without the scene. There are no changes between RC 1 and RC 2 which should cause this. Is the issue reliably reproducible, i.e. when you render it more times in a row using RC 1 there is no issue with the dots and when you render it more times in a row using RC 2 the dost are here every time? Do you use UHD cache? And when you change GI solver in render settings from UHD cache to Path tracing does it solve the issue?

Thanks for all your work on improving Corona Nikola, would you mind taking another look at the yellow issue, post #77 mentions it above and it's been mentioned elsewhere. It would be very helpful when trying to tweak materials using the IR to not have to restart the IR all the time when the yellow materials make an appearance.

Character Tags and Motion Tracker Tags I am not using... not Rigging or doing motion tracking.
Which I use... these are Hair Tags and Simulation Tags, from these "Spline Dynamics" and "Cloth Tag" are giving IR looping in simple scenes.
I hope in next beta... these will be fixed.

Have you enlarged the images of the previous renders and could it be that the hot pixels show up when the camera is closer?
If not, then it's the Mandela-effect.
Do you have volume caustics enabled and what's your MSI? Also your material setups and basically any info we can get.

Any chance to get rid of those bright pixels? When using Beta 2 RC1 they dont appear.

In quick.... I set MSI to 1 and after 6 passes....all clear. You can try other numbers where looks better..

Hold on a minute....You're complaining about pixels after only 6 passes? You have 150 passes set, let it do it's thing, use denoising, then let us know. I just did 20 passes with denoising and a lot of that went away...

Hello again
I do not know why but the problem has resolved itself. The problem was actually another scene which I had rendered with 160 passes and the bright pixels were still visible. In the B2 R1, the problem was initially not visible. Anyway now it seems to work sorry for the confusion.

My VFB-tone mapping settings seems to reset all of a sudden all the time. I need to know what I am doing to make this happen to prevent it. Can I lock it somehow?
Let's say I've set up a camera in a scene, and dialed in settings for exposure, highlight compression, saturation etc and all of this is stored in camera tag. Next time I open scene it's sometimes all back to default?
What am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone! My R19 stuck at boot logo "Initializing Plugins" with beta2 RC1-2-3. I tried to reinstall and uninstall plugins, but still have the problem :(
Are you still having issues with this? Can you try installing manually?

Does anyone else find that when you 'draw' a region render in the VFB, it doesn't restrict rendering to the defined region until the region is then adjusted?
This only seems to have been an issue since the arrival of the beta. It wasn't apparent in the alpha releases.
I'm using RC3 on Mac OS

This has only happened a couple of times but I thought I was going mad until I realised the issue.

I believe that the values of the tone mapping, LUTS, ..... etc belong to the camera in which those adjustments are made, if you change the camera you must apply them again.
I think it's like that ... right?

Yes, sorry that's not what I was referring to. If I switch cameras as the IR is rendering, the values on the original camera reset to default when I switch back again.
I should have explained that better...

I tried it manually and with the corona button which creates a hair object. Everything worked fine. Do you have a scene or video?

Yeah, a screenshot would be handy. Multiple Crn hair seems to be working for me too. Tested in R20/B2 RC3

Yep tested on another system with amd vcard and everything ok. I think that the problem could be the nvidia driver, now i'm downloading the latest. Cinema R20.028 Corona B2RC3
Update: nvidia drivers updated, now it crashes when render in viewport with antialiasing>2; fine in vfb and ir. Tested with 1080 and 970. No problems with amd.

sorry for late... I was much busy in some urgent jobs and not seen post.

@Cestmir, both of which are added in our Wrike triaged reports. @Imran, I have contacted Cineversity to ask for their assistance in solving the issues with their plugins. As it's a paid plugin we can't get access to it (yet).

- Material node system renamed to Node material editor
- A shader is unwrapped from Corona shared shader when no other shaders are referencing it in Node material editor
- Added support for pinch and pan gestures in Node material editor for R20 version
- Fixed nonworking camera projection in IR
- Fixed various bugs of nonworking Corona shared shader in IR
- Fixed bug when shaders in Corona shared shader were not working in viewport sometimes
- Fixed various bugs and edge cases while adding or removing connections of nodes in Node material editor
- Fixed bug when nodes were disconnected after the save of a scene in some cases (broken scenes have to be resaved in RC4 - saved, closed and opened again in RC4)
- Fixed various edge cases connected to orphaned shaders (shaders not connected anywhere)
- Fixed missing instances in some cases
- Fixed a crash in IR bump-mapping when thread count was overridden in preferences
- Fixed sky direction if there's no sun in the scene

One small thing... material undo, in IR object turn to white... see if this also can be fixed...!

Color Mix does not work properly with IR, if do some setting it shows like no glossiness, stop and start again IR then shows correct result.

Aw, this is too bad. I could really use this feature on a project right now.

CV plugins are not yet supported by R20.
I had crashes when perspective view > top view.
Delete CV plugins solve the problem.
Forester plugin seems to be guilty. Same crashes when I change views.

Daily builds (https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=40.0) board when the first daily build is released.
Of course, if you have any bug reports or crashes in the meantime, you can always just create a new bug report thread here on the forums.
