Hi,

I am doing panorama interiors but I am getting a lot of stretching. Are there any tips to lower the stretching or get rif of it? I am rendering to spherical and I am using the panorama script by Martin Geupel that can be found here at the forums. Other wise panoramas look really nice but I am struggling with stretching.

Reduce the field of view in your panorama viewer settings.

Can you show what stretching you're talking about? Is it slight warp distortions in panorama's zenith and nadir, or something else?

If you are facing the object in panorama viewer it's just fine but when you turn the image and the object gets closer to the side it stretches sideways quite a bit. I would like to reduce that stretching.

Is there a certain fov in corona camera that can reduce the stretching?

That can't be altered in Corona camera or generally in rendering. The output is equirectangular (360 spherical) image, which is agnostic of camera FOV settings. As balatschaka already said, you need to change FOV in panorama viewer.

What viewer would you suggest that can do that? I am really not familiar with panorama software.

You need to use a resolution of 2 to 1

I'm not familiar with panorama viewers too. I think that basic changing of FOV should be supported by majority of them. Martin Geupel's viewer most likely support it too. Maybe you need to experiment with other projections, as sometimes default rectilinear (a.k.a flat) projection doesn't give satisfactory results - too wide FOV gives you great distortions and too narrow FOW feels limiting. Some viewers offers other projections, like fisheye or panini (vedutismo). I think online viewer of 360cities offers some interesting projections to choose from.

I got it working. I found pano2vr program and it's really easy to test different fov's with the ui. Thanks a lot again to all. This forum is so valuable when you meet obstacles.
