Hi, i recently did some tests comparing fresnel luminance value of some sort on a black sphere in a solid white environment map...attached is my result...i think if my findings are relevant and matters maybe a corona fresnel map will help solve this issue...what do you think ?

[Max] General Discussion / Fresnels, Car Paints, Coat Layers
« on: 2016-12-02, 12:05:07 »
Hi all, i recently have been doing so much r&d's on pbr's precisely on car paint materials...but so far my results have not seemed to impress me...watched several corona car paint materials and they all seem to be made with the old non-pbr corona materials...trying to replicate the same that i learnt from those tuts but it seems the 1.5 pbr system is very different, a slight gloss value increase is drastic, which i think must be the realistic approach...kindly assist us learners with an updated tutorial on making car paints with this new corona 1.5 pbr system...and also, i don't know if corona has plans for a coat layer but i think it would be nice if they did or if they had their own custom fresnel map as i noticed something with 3ds max falloff map (pix attached)...might be irrelevant or im getting all these wrong...what do you say ?
