Is it possible to set up Corona so that when I click on a material to edit, it will open only that specific material in the Node Editor?

Basically, I'm looking for the same functionality that Redshift and Octane have (as I feel this is way more intuitive and manageable than having the Node Editor act as a giant canvas with many different materials at once). Does anyone know if this is possible?

Doesn't the native node editor in C4D do that? The fact that it is a canvas for many different materials at once is one of the distinguishing strengths of the Corona Node Editor :) Anyway, this would be a feature request if the native C4D node editor doesn't fit the bill (which it might), and if so please post on the Ideas Portal which is the place to submit feature requests these days, over at https://chaoscorona.ideas.aha.io/ - thanks!

I think one thing to remember is Corona can utilize Shared nodes/textures/materials. If you open only the one material, but it shares nodes with several other materials, and you change a property in that node. It would affect all the others you can't see. This might be a problem I'd imagine.

+1, in my experience it's a double edged sword that creates more problems than it solves. C4D hadn't a proper node editor when Corona introduced it's own, now it's totally mature.
