hi guys,
i have a material uses corona AO but i need it only on the objects edges not edges created by displacement. any tricks?
but it would be nice if coronaAO has a "exclude displacement" checkbox

The only trick i can think of, would be baking AO to texture.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

thanks romullus, but i think render to texture will never be a choice until the final round. this project is still in development stage..

You can 'abuse' the rounded corner map maybe since it outputs a color gradient. But it won't work the same way as AO, of course.

is it possible to your material to split it for layerMtl as displacement not works on other layers?
