Hello Coronauts,

We are looking for more skilled artists. Come and join a small close-knit creative team working on some of the most exciting landmark architectural projects worldwide. Importantly, you are expected to have good artistic skills and be experienced in creating engaging visualisation work.

Please do not apply if you are not in or able to live and work in London.

+1 for Jens suggestion and
-add the option per camera to define scene environment and overrides
-define which layers will be renderable and which not.

Sounds like (the much more usable now) scenestates to me.

[Max] Feature Requests / Re: The most wanted feature?

..I don't know why it's not a priority.
its simply because every features is important. and every users has their own perspective...

Maybe Fluss is right, masks don't work in their current state so perhaps it should be considered a bug and not a feature request. I can complete my work properly without caustics but without mattes I need hacks.

Oh,

Render elements CMasking_Masks and CMasking_WireColor are currently incompatible with the standalone renderer (There might be others).

Lots of great features I would like, however, I wish the reflection and refraction of Matte elements were doing a bit better!

Hello!

Apologies if this has already been discussed, I didn't find anything through search.

If you use a layered material using masks only the base materials ID appears in the CMash element. This is actually quite useful if you're using it to create a material with different glossiness settings but I would expect it to split the ID's using the masks. I hope this makes sense.

We really need CMasking_Masks to work on standalone for it to be useful, currently, we would need to submit a masks job separately which makes things fiddly.

Best,

Josh.

Hi guys,

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, I di have a quick look!

We render using Deadline and sometimes we want to make an in progress save of a render. If you are browsing for an output filename and the RFW updates then the renderer will crash. Let me know if anything is unclear.

Hi,

Might be a bit late by now, but you if you're a bit handy you could probably modify the deadline script that deals with this. Alternatively, if you post on the Deadline forum I am sure the guys there would help.

[Max] General Discussion / Re: Deadline task time outs.
« on: 2016-01-13, 12:05:10 »
Hi Ondra,

Thanks for looking into it. I have upgraded Deadline to 7.2, which Mike from Thinkbox tells me has a lot of improvements for Corona. I have also disabled the Progress Update Timeout in Deadline and this has fixed the issue.
If I can spare a bit of time I will test the daily build for you.

Many thanks,

Josh.

Version 7.0.2.3 R. We will upgrade at some point and try again. Mike from Thinkbox has suggested disabling this for now.

Many thanks for your replies.
