Hello,

I'm facing a weird thing with a very simple scene I'm starting to work on. Nothing fancy here, just the beginning of the project, walls and windows modeling ... but IPR is most of time not working ! IPR keeps on running, nothing appears, VFB full black. Sometimes I get something, but very looooooooooong to appear and/or to refresh.

Next step is to merge the modeled stuff in a new scene ...

Scene made on 3dsmax 2018.4, Corona v1.7.3.

Thank you.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? ;)
Tried the scene over here and everything is working as intended. Interactive is fast and almost instantly there.

Hello,

Thank you for taking some time to try. Actually, I've tried several things, including turning it on and off, and also doing File->New Scene -> Keep Objects. Same thing.
Now, I've just added an HDRI in environment, instead of a simple grey color, and it works again as expected ... very weird.

What kind of map did you use for the original grey enviro?

No map, just a plain color.
Another weird behavior I'm getting in this scene with IPR and Photographic Exposure (tweaking F-Stop), insane ... please check this video capture: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cFeuQvDgMd
I really don't understand, nothing fancy at all in this scene. Either it's a bug or maybe I should think about reinstalling Corona ...

That's super strange. Looks like the dof parameter controls the material glossiness.
Definitely try uninstalling Corona and installing it again.
If possible, please also upload a scene like this for us - https://corona-renderer.com/upload

I could not reproduce any of those issues here. Everything is just working fine.

@NicolasC can you try with Corona 1.7 hf4? https://corona-renderer.com/download/

Ok, same thing with 1.7.4 :( :(
Switching to Photographic (ISO) mode with the Corona Camera keeps on producing weird results when tweaking F-Stop: not only the exposure isn't lower when increasing F-Stop, but the ground's material glossiness goes crazy too (the limit seems to be above 4.0). If I switch back to Global Exposure mode, the exposure of the image is back to normal, but the glossiness of the ground material stays crazy ... this bug is really driving me nuts :( anyway, this project is on stand-by for now, nothing dramatic, but I'd just like to understand !

Bye.

After some additional investigations, it really seems somehow related to Corona Output map, used in the floor material. Remove it and everything is back to normal.

That's really odd, and I can't recall any similar reports.
If this is still valid, could you try with the newest daily build? https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000570015
The Corona Output map is replaced there with two separate maps:
-Corona Tonemap Control
-Corona Color Correct
Could you try remaking your scene so that it would use those maps instead of the original Output map? If it can be reproduced, then we would be definitely interested in fixing.
Like I said before, unfortunately I was not able to reproduce it using the scene you provided...

Hello Maru,

Thank you for bringing this back to the table. In fact, the scene is part of a project currently in stand-by, waiting informations from our client to resume working on it. That's why I haven't worked again on it so far. Anyway, I'll try to find some time to test latest daily build before the end of the week, a few things in the pipe to finish before that :)

Regards.
