I believe you can purchase some of his scenes and tear them apart. Its a great way to learn by example. You can see lighting setups, material graphs camera settings etc and them implement them in your own projects and see how they work. Thats probably the best way you can learn. Bertrand also has a blog where he gives tips and tricks i believe.

No problem. Its always good to see the exposure. Im a complete ambassador for it. Preaching its benefits to everyone haha

Its not even a link anymore its an actual straight import. Ive had no problems so far with it. Max is much snappier than it usually is with FBX or revit links and the materials come in alot better with much better naming.

Mass material import/export V0.1

I hope some people will find this useful. This will import a folder full of .mat files into your scene so you can convert them and will then save them out back into individual mat files.

Run the script. press import. locate your mats folder.
It will import them all into the scene and apply them to small boxes.
The corona converter will open.
Convert as necessary and then click export.
Choose your export folder. It will save out with the original name and a '_crn' suffix.
If you have an older version of the converter (1.29) open the script in notepad and find the line at the bottom referencing the converter and just change your version in the string.

Let me know if you have any issues.

Enjoy!

Ive actually got a working alpha of a script to do this now. Im just tidying it up and building an interface for it.

the more i look at this the more it looks like the one ontop isnt right. like the IOR or something. it feels like there should be more clear glass for the thickness thats demonstrated in the reflection. anyone else?

Hey corona :)

I Subscribe to both 3D World and 3D Artist and its great to see your full page ads.
However my one criticism would be that your brand isnt particularly visible on the page. Its not completely clear what corona is imo.
I like how bold the ad is though. It always tricks me into thinking its an article in the magazine.

I might be wrong and you might be selling licenses like a badass because of these ads but its just a thought ;)

I might have a bash at that. For free of course :)

i suppose you could put them all on spheres in a scene and then run the converter script then save them out individually?

One of my team has got the 45 day demo of 1.5.1 but today it says it has ran out despite the build date being only a few weeks ago.
Is this an error or do you get 45 days total of all future demos?

Thanks
