Hi, I looked on the forum for some discussions relative to multitexture fixes but couldn't find any clear info so I hope my asking this isn't redundant, but do you thing there will be any bug fixes to the multitexture issue? At the moment whenever I load the map into a slot max instantly crashes. Do you think there will a fix to this anytime soon or if there is another way to load multiple maps into a slot similar to multitexture? I'm aware of the manual way to do this but it is way too time consuming.

Any news on this would be highly appreciated.

Hey Eduard,

I have no problem with multitexture ob my side with the Alpha V5.

Hi there Thomas, thank you for your reply. I have Alpha v.5 as well but both max 2013 and 2014 keep crashing. Are you using a newer version from the daily builds perhaps?

no i use the Alpha V5, no daily :-)
With Max2013 it works very well.

Interesting, I've done tons of tests, either at home and at work, on max 2013 and 2014. Removed all the plugins because I thought maybe they're interfering somehow but that didn't do the trick. I'll keep trying to see what's causing the issue.

Multitexture works fine EXCEPT when I choose RANDOMIZE BY OBJECT it then crashes max.

I cant use multtexture on max 2013, its Using just one bitmap for all the geometry, Some one else having this ??

Yes! The same problem. Only one bitmap on whole geometry. Really, maybe some one knows how to solve the problem?

Same problem here... when  i use corona v5+multitexture 1.02, only one texture shows up on my object. Eventhough it has multiple ID's. Rendering with vray shows the desired effect: multiple maps.
I'm a bit confused, because I've already read that some of the users here, do NOT have that problem... so, what am I doing wrong in corona? Any ideas? Thx!

same here, and one more, every time i hit "render" multitexture chooses different map and its on. ex. same scene 3 renders different map chose for floor from 8 in multitexture.

I've fixed the crashing when using the object mode (the only one supported). You can get by for now by disabling custom material previews, which was the source of trouble

I was, again, in desperate need for this, and went searching on the forums just to see that 1 hour ago you've fixed it. Thanks Ondra, best Christmas gift for me xD !

Edit: Unfortunately max crashes when I acces the material editor with the latest daily build (2013-12-20) . : (
