BTW just to be sure it's Corona rendering in the viewport and not, say, a default C4D renderer, it would be good to see some screen grabs of the viewport render and the VFB render. It would also be useful to know what "problem" arise when it is baked (again with screen grabs / renders that showcase them). Every bit of info can help :)

TY! I wasn't sure if you just meant the viewport as-is (the native 3D display), or with rendering. It is surprising that Corona renders it fine in the viewport, but not in the VFB. Does it make a difference on whether it's IR or a final render?

By viewport, do you mean if you do an Interactive Rendering Viewport Render using Corona, or do you just mean C4D's native viewport (no Corona involved)?

There was a brief (14 minute) outage on getting a license on the server side. All should be working normally for the last 30 mins or so, with only borrowing a license still being affected by some issues.

It is good that you sent in a ticket, as we don't have any access to the licensing side of things (not me, nor our tech support team), so unfortunately there is nothing I can do to help directly. But with the ticket in place, it will have got to the licensing team for them to look into what is happening.

We have been informed this should be resolved now, please test and let us know (no need for a ticket if you hadn't already sent one in). Note that the 3-4 days is the maximum wait, with higher priority items being dealt with more quickly, and in this case with it being a general licensing outage, dealt with even more quickly.

While we've flagged it with the licensing team that there seems to be an issue, given the reports we're seeing in various forum threads, do please still send in individual tickets as well as those tickets will help identify what is going on (everyone, everyone in a certain place, etc etc). If everyone could open their own individual ticket that would be helpful, thank you. As a note, the relevant support team have been notified that there seems to be a sudden spike in this being an issue (but those individual tickets still help).

Hahah, sounds very 80s hair metal - perfect! As an aside, I did play the guitars in the 10 years Story So Far video at

, where the little tune at 25 seconds that plays under the 10 years spotlights animation was one I wrote and recorded, as I figured people might want to HEAR them once in a while haha!

Plus, Corona added a Scanned Material preset quite some time ago. The main difference is that you needed to download them from the Chaos web site. When you do import one, they are saved to your computer in a folder called "Chaos Scanned Materials", but you can move them anywhere and load them from a remote drive like I have set up.

You can do basic appearance changes to the material once you have imported it, such as the color and reflectivity for examples. Those materials also are designed to work with a proper UVW setup. I suck at that, so many times I switch to Cube and scale as needed. Works for me.

Tom what do you mean by Premium?

Corona comes in two versions, Solo and Premium: https://www.chaos.com/corona#pricing
Where Premium has Phoenix, Scans, Player, etc. I am a bit confused as how you can not know which version of Corona you are using :O

The Scanned Material is not a "main difference", that is how to access Scans right now, going to the website, downloading, loading into the Scanned Material. This applies to both Solo and Premium (ie even with a Scans license, this is how you access Scans). This makes Scans hard to find - I am sure a lot of people don't even know they exist - and makes them hard to use with this visiting a website, downloading and saving, then manually loading it into the material. Which is why moving them to Cosmos will make a major difference :) Easy to find, AND easy to use!
