Rosetta needed by Corona Installer

(1/1)

masterzone:
I recently installed Sequoia MacOS on my Mac and when I started the installer a Rosetta software is needed for proceed to the installation.
Maybe the time has come to discontinue the use of Rosetta, or to separate the installers...or tell to Chaos developers to compiling the chaos background apps with new SDK.
Just my two cents

frv:
I also noticed that.
Did you also get Cosmos to work . I could only get Cosmos to work with the current official release 12 hot fix 2. Any update of Cosmos beyond caused Cosmos to stop running.
OSX sequoia & C4D 2025

masterzone:
My cosmos is fine right now, but if you hit "update" remember to take a look to the desktop, you can see the DMG mounted. You must run the installer by yourself otherwise cosmos will brick.
A very bad software IMHO

frv:
Tx Masterzone,
that solved it. I got OSX 15.0.1, C4D 25.0.2 and the CR 13 latest daily build and Cosmos running.
I installed CR13 without Cosmos and updated Cosmos from within C4D/Cosmos and then ran the installer manually from the desktop.

Good to know it's an installer problem.

Anyhow, I am moving away from Cosmos as much as possible. Redshift had done a much better job with its assets within C4D. All Redshift assets are directly available though the C4D asset browser even though they are under subscription. I hope Chaos is going to put some more effort in Corona for C4D. I took a look at the roadmap but it seems we are at the end of it.

I have the same "install rosetta" issue on a M4 mini / os 15
I posted on the chaos help, but their response can take a couple of days....

I thought the installer is universal and can run apple silicon natively. What's going on here?
