Thanks for the replies, I actually did have the latest bios (7B92v13) but I re-installed it anyway and it seems windows has now updated, Strange but at least its worked. On a similar note its saying that I'm up to date on windows pro build 1803 but I thought there was a 1903 update?

I'm not actually sure if I'm on the latest motherboard bios, the meg creation was a bit unstable when it came out so I just stuck to the bios that was stable on my system. I will have a check and update it and also disconnect all usb devices. Thanks for replying! fingers crossed its that

Hardware / Windows 10 pro update failing
« on: 2019-11-18, 17:10:41 »
Sorry I know this is not specifically a hardware question but I thought it was the best place to ask.

I have windows 10 pro and for a few months now I have been unable to install any updates, during the update it blue screens then turns off, I then have to power up the computer twice and on the third time it reverts the the previous version and I can carry on as normal. I have been pausing updates but the last few days it keeps doing it while rendering at night which is super annoying...

I tried talking to the microsoft help center last time and they were not helpful at all and basically said to wait until the 1903 update pops up asking to be installed. I just wondered if anyone here had issues installing the updates on windows pro? below are the failed ones in question.

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903
Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809 amd64 2019-04
cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1809 for x64-based system (KB4525237)

Thanks

Hi everyone.

I have been working on some black and white renders in my spare time and thought I would share them here. I added some 3D people in as its not something I have had to do for a long time, I couldn't afford super high-res ones though so go easy on that aspect!  :)

Thanks for looking!

There's some clay renders on the behance project if your interested as well.

Hardware / Re: 3dsmax 2016 + 4K monitor
« on: 2019-10-09, 13:31:05 »
No problems at all with Max 2019. I bought a 27" Benq designer monitor and its really nice, I would say maybe its worth going for a 32" as everything is very small which is going to take a while to get used to, that's more of a personal issue though as its my first 4k screen. I tried the windows scaling to 125% which works ok but makes the Max UI a bit blurry.

I have just bought a new 27" 4k display which should arrive today, I have never had a 4k display and didn't even think about 3dsmax issues...Hopefully it will be ok as I'm using 2019, I thought they fixed the higher resolution display problem years ago?

Hi everyone 🙂

I  have been trying out some different styles recently in my spare time and these ended up looking pretty cool and retro so I thought I would share them.

I  have been working on a commercial project which will unfortunately  never been released so I thought for fun I would create a showroom and  use some of the models I made. It ended up being a mix of bought and  self modelled as I got carried away. Thanks for having a look!

Thanks for the replies! Sorry it's taken so long.

I really dislike lens flares in images so It's something I tend to avoid, that's my own personal taste though. If I was doing sci-fi images I'm sure that would change :) thanks for the feedback though.

Experiment project using a lighting studio I built. I had the Audi from a commercial job I did so thought it would be fun to have a play around as its a cool looking car and I had a few days free. There is some clay renders of the studio setup as well.

Thanks!
