Hi,

how can I get Masks or Passes of Objects that are behind another transparent Object. For example behind a window.
I tried to use the compositing tag and uncheck the visible in mask for the glass objects but that does not work.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

You need to go in your material, in advanced untick Visible in masks

Ok thanks!
More of a workaround and not really flexible but better than nothing ;-)

Hi guys,

Thanks for the reminder on this issue! We promised and didn't deliver. Unfortunately, this was buried under other features the team was working on at the time. It has been relisted in our internal "to do" list before the final release is made. Sorry for the delay, it is coming though...

You can disable "Visible in masks" in material (in Advanced section) or on per-object basis using Corona compositing tag (the problem with Corona compositing tag not working should be fixed for more than a year and I also tested it in current v6 daily build just to be sure).

There are also some planned improvements that will allow propagating masks via reflections/refractions that were already done in 3ds max and should be added in C4D soon.
