Hi guys,

what is current the bes way to do backlates in corona for C4D?

I've seen this video
where it is explained for max BUT I can't get the Emit Light option to be turned off.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong here.

So for now I guess the best way is to use a Corona Standard Mat with the Backplate in Emission channel and a corona compositing tag with Seen by Camera, Seen by GI and Cast Shadows turned off.

BTW would be nice to have an option to compensate exposure (like Vray has it).

Many thanks!

Looks like Rayswitch is not implemented very well yet, but don't worry - everything which is in 3ds Max will eventually make its way into the C4D version.

I use a light material with the emit light box turned off and it works great! just make sure your back plate is geometry and not a sky object

- could also use PlaneSmart
- or make a plane, scale+orient to camera
... and make Corona Light Shader for it.

I did some tests with the emit light box turned off and it looks like it's not working. Turning it off emits light on both sides instead. Just like turning on the emit both sides option on.
