Adjusting any Corona material/map parameter causes noticeable micro-lagging. It doesn't matter if IR is running, or not. Decreasing material editor preview rendering quality in render settings doesn't help, however turning off material rendering in material editor itself, fixes the issue completely. It is probably caused by the same issue as the "slow slate material editor" bug. We know what is causing it and have scheduled a fix

corona material library in black preview windows, how to resolve this???There was a bug in a 3rd party library after we updated it, fix is coming in next daily build
Of course no one wants to be forced to upgrade all the time - but you can't realistically expect software that old to be a viable option in 2022.We are not even forcing anyone to upgrade - older versions of Corona run perfectly fine with R14+. We just cannot provide new features to people who opt in to stay with 10-8 year old host application.
i guess the developers are on vacation :)yes ;)
If you don't mind I'd like to ask an under-the-hood question...
In instances like this, where Corona is adopting a v-ray feature (enmesh is another example, improved sky is another but from Corona->Vray) is the code re-written entirely? Or is it somehow copied across?
I guess what I'm asking is; will the procedural clouds in Corona be different than the v-ray procedural clouds? Do you guys make an effort to copy the features + usage completely or do you try to distinguish it from the vray features?
