Tnx @maru.

There is an option for disabling Sun reflection in CoronaC4d too.
I'll try lowering the reflectivity.
Internal res=1 atm.

Hello!

This is my first personal project in Corona for C4D. Well known Peter Zumthor's atelier in Switzerland.
There is some noise on the leather material on chairs and bench, I guess I'd have to wait a bit longer (or maybe the bump is to high?) Still need to figure that out.
Trees were made in Onyx.

Done in corona A3, a4 is too buggy atm.
Comments & critiques welcomed!

regards,
matej

Personally, I'd stopped the development of the IR for the moment. I know - it was voted, so just my personal opinion. But: IR is the icing on the cake, which can be done at the end. For the work would be more efficient distributed rendering, scatter plugin, proxy plugin. Because how much time it will save the IR throughout the project?

I agree with that 100%.
We all love Corona and we trust you guys will do the best possible work as you have done so far!

cheers

Bump problem as mentioned above: have to increase amounts to crazy high numbers (as pre alpha3).

I can confirm some strange behaviour with IR. It renders with geometry artefacts.
Image on the right is rendered in picture viewer, the left on in IR. There seems to be missing part of the geometry on the floor.

Is there a way you could make a check box "Do not override" in the material properties? This way if someone is using sky object + material with HDR applied it wouldn't get overwritten.

Oh I've missed a exclude/include input below the "override material" check box. This solves the issue with skye + HDRI.
And it's working fine now!

Thanks guys, great job!

Does "material override" work at all? I'm trying to figure out why I'm getting a black render.

I second that question. If I'm not mistaken final 3dsmax alpha releases got some nice render time boosts at the end. Is something similiar planned for c4d version aswell?
Thank you,

Great work!
I'm really happy that corona for Cinema is at the same quality level as on 3d studio max! You're renders are proving that.
Switching from vray definitely.

Thanks guys!
Nice to hear that Carbon Scatter is the way to go.
I'm downloading the trial right now.
Will get back with feedback.

If it's really Cinema that can't handle large number of clones than even Carbon Scatter might not help?
I really hope Maxon would tackle the problem in the next version.

@pBarrelas: I like SurfaceSpread too. It has many usefull options with scattering, many of which Mograph doesn't. I mainly use it for grass.
