Here are some final images from my recent project.

The only thing (for me) that tells me this is not a photograph is the lack of space underneath te door.
But a marvelous mood it is.

how many time for image? very good!!!
I left the settings default. Set render, go to bed or go out for cafe and then back to get images. Don't remember exactly.
But it ranges from 1 hour ( 1200px pieces ) to 3-5 hours ( 2500px with DOF )
My workstation is i7-3930K with 32GB RAM

Noise in bokeh never gone. I don't know why.
My solution is render region bokeh part. Save a bunch of time. I did some region render with more than 30 000 passes.

Again though, amazing work!

I think the raw renders are pretty close to finals. Just need some small touch to give more artistic mood.
I made a quick video before -after for my student :
