[C4D] General Discussion / Corona Renderer for R24
« on: 2021-07-18, 20:23:56 »
Good day. Is there or will there be support for the version  Cinema 4D R24?. Currently, the program does not want to start with the render, if you put it manually in plugins.

About the computer?

Hi corona-Team,

are you planning to support apple's switch to their own cpu-archictecture?

I'm just wondering how it will afffect the already bad 3D-situation on macs.
At least Maxon did confirm they will support Cinema4d on apple silcon asap.

This is the latest daily build of v7. Not officially released yet, but usually pretty stable.

Thank you, everything is working, R19 and R21, R19 starts up and works normally, it renders normally, R21 generally renders in real time, as if there is GPU support.

6
If you uninstall corona renderer, does Cinema 4D works on Big Sur and R19?
I remove the Corona render and then R19 starts up normally.

7
Not sure about R19, but the v7 daily build works in R21 and R23 on macOS 11. You might want to try that.

What version 7 do you mean?

8
What version of the render do you mean, you can download only the 6 version, there is no 7th version.

9
I do not have a license for version R23, I have a license for R19 and in MacOS Catalina together with Cinema 4D R19 + Corona renderer everything works fine. But on macOS 11.2.3 this bundle does not work, when I install the crown the renderer an error pops up, I don’t know what to do.

10
What should I do? What do you advise? Error goes out when I insaline render

11
There are no plans to implement GPU rendering at this time, so do not wait :) Hardware architecture for GPUs remains different which means it introduces limitations which means Corona wouldn't be Corona any more (as in, "it just works") - see https://corona-renderer.com/features/proudly-cpu-based
In this case, I will buy myself an NVidia video card and switch to another render. For me, time is an important criterion ...
And why am I just paying you ..?

12
No, you shouldn't. Corona does not use GPU for rendering. At the moment, the only thing that Corona uses GPU for, is real-time AI denoiser, but that's only applicable to Nvidia GPUs.

When will the video cards work? How long to wait?

13
Will anybody answer me?

14
Is it expected to support the processor of the video card itself? In particular, a video card chip from AMD? I work for iMac and I have an AMD Radeon video card, and I am wondering, should I expect such support?

15
Real-time render for Cinema 4d does not work well with Displacement maps, if you make any change in this map, then the changes are not displayed in real time, you need to reload the render again. Is a fix for this error expected? And is support for the hardware capabilities of the Nvidia or AMD video card expected?
