Need help to decide...1x xeon x5650 (24 cores in HT) or 2x i7 4790 (16 in HT)
Anyone know in corona who is faster?
( if xeon faster , probably i will buy 2)
They will only be doing render nodes job, not work station.

i agree with you when you say IR is for tweak scenes... the problem is when those scenes are heavy, and a user like me that use a 4 core I7 (8HT) , starts to get trouble using IR because scenes are heavy. And feed back starts to get time, o much time.
So i believe that IR with DR in corona would be a great imput to Corona users, and also a "boom" to those who don´t have money to buy several GPUs...
buy the way.. tehre is coming the new Pascal Nvidia GPU... It seens to be worth look at it...i believe that it will be a "revolution", Octane and GPU basead renders will boost the market.
That is what i believe.

No the GPUs are in severaal computers, In the exactelly 3 GPUs in 4 machines.. 12 GPUs giving imediatly feedback.
Is corona could do this ... it would be out of this world for CPU rendering base users..

hello guys
My question was not innocent....
One thing i´m amazed is about Octane DR beetwin GPUs....
In my line of work (architect) is impotant to have that instant feedback, for clients view.
Since Octane gives that feedback using DR with several GPUS, i was asking why not corona with CPUs?

Hello guys
I solver the problem....
1) disabled windows. Firewall on slaves
2) one of the slaves started to work fine
3 cloned the working slave hdd and instaled in the other slave
Now its working fine....
Of course the two slaves have the same hardware.

I have last build on all machines.
Drserver is running in both slaves.
I was doing some testing , and both slaves find each other.
Both slaves find, master . If in master Dr server is active and one of slaves turned into master.
I even turned off firewall in master. Slaves do not have firewall , only the windows default one.
In master i also forced in firewall to accept Dr server comunication from incoming and outcoming.
This is getting on my nerves....
Any ideas?

Hello people
I´m trying to get working my 2 slaves to help render with corona. The system works fine with vray distributed render.
there are 3 computers : 1 laptop (master i7 3920xm ) + 2 slaves ( desktop i7 4770).
for now just instaled corona in master and slave 1
The master , can´t find the slave, even if i mate the txt file with the IP Adress.
But,
The slave finds the master as slave if i want too. And it renders.
Another Thing . I as strugling installing corona , because vray spawner was turned on. but got it to install ok after desabling it in task manager.
But starting 3d Max a message pops up ( see attatched file please. its a script error .mcr)
any ideas what is going on here?
