Hello guys

I thought it would be useful to have a place to share free 3D models, textures and tutorials in one place , inspired by CiroC's thread about scripts / tools ( https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,4908.0/all.html ,awesome stuff , be sure to check it out ).

Idea is to share mostly freebies (no torrents or illegal links ).

I'll start off with sharing a few random sites for downloading free 3d models and tutorials and if things go well I'll be adding more stuff that I find useful.

3D models

3dsky.org A great site to download mostly all kind of PRO and FREE 3d models ( requires account , daily provides 3 free 3D models ).
dimensiva.com Free high quality models
jurajtalcik.com/3dmodels/# Free 3D models from Talcik / Demovicova Visuals . Thanks Juraj and Veronika
turbosquid.com/Search/3D-Models/free A lot of FREE + PRO 3d models
dartofang.com/#!3d-models/c12yh Freebies from Peter Ang . Thanks Peter
proviz.info/blog3dfreemodels Ikea models
fritzhansen.com/en/fritz-hansen Fritz Hansen furniture 3d models
dmodelz.com All kinds of 3d models

Textures

Textures.com Probably the best source for all kinds of free and pro textures.
texturepilot.com  + lots of very good quality textures, high resolution, some are seamless and with alpha, easy to search. - Free access is quite limited.
seamless-pixels.blogspot.de  + good quality, high resolution, many are seamless, free. - not categorised, hard to search
render911.ru  + seamless, interesting subject. - kinda lowrez.
https://episcura.com/textures/

Tutorials

bertrand-benoit.com/blog/shag-carpet-using-forest-pack Creating a 3D rug tutorial with free provided patch model to scatter . Can be used with Corona Scatter
ronenbekerman.com Probably the coolest place for all architectural CG artists

HDRI resources

noemotionhdrs.net  Good quality HDRi (although not without keylight when used in Archviz)
hdrlabs.com/news/index.php Lot of examples, not too high-res but pretty unique
openfootage.net  HDRi 360/Timelapses/Textues Same as above lot of unique example, some cloud timelapses and various textures

Video resources

mitchmartinez.com/free-4k-red-epic-stock-footage   4K stock footage + extreme quality, free

Hey guys , since this this thread had great success and we all love it , i thought of trying to make a similar thing with free with all kinds of 3d models donations / suggestions.
What do you think ? And please correct me if this kind of thread exists already.

News / Re: Car Paint Tutorial

Few days ago I was looking at a new VW Passat with the same paint as you made in third tutorial (Car Paint Flakes) and thought it would be a cool thing to make in Corona.
Awesome as always , thanks for sharing this.

So many details , awesome work man.

I just tested Rawalanche's mix map with displacement and ripple modifiers and i think it adds a nice wavy look.
Maybe someone finds it useful.

Rawalanche's way with procedural maps definitely gives good results .
I suck at using noise map since i dont know how to get a nice preview of it in viewport . And honestly never even tried using cellular map.

Phoenix looks awesome , i'll surely try the demo version. Boundry also has a good tutorial , i think the end result is very similar to Rawalanche's.

Thanks a lot guys :)

I think it looks great , very realistic.
But i think for the little kid you should try to create a more colorful , cartoonish fairy tale look :)
