HI to all!!!
I have a problem with corona 1.6 interactive render
The IR in 1.6 slower 2x-3x than 1.5(in same scene), can someone explain me why?
I've started IR and need to wait 10-30sec for start and after i change some materials or move camera IR freez for 5-15sec
also long render IR time  a lot of noise i've got
in same scene is middle complexity
I've tested in different scene and got the same problem(long IR render time an lot of noise)

also render time in 1.6 is longer than 1.5
noise level 7-12% in 1.6 - 40-50 min
noise level 7-12% in 1.5 - 25-30 min

4930k
32GB memory
SSD 256 GB
GTX1070
Is someone have same problem with IR?

Try this, go to render setup>performance>performance settings and turn force path tracing on. Should help with slow IR start.

1) Is this happening in all scenes, or only in one specific scene?
2) Is the scene very complex, heavy?
3) Are you sure you are not running our of RAM?

1) Is this happening in all scenes, or only in one specific scene? - I've tested 6 scenes
2) Is the scene very complex, heavy? 2 was complex and other was not heavy
3) Are you sure you are not running our of RAM? - yes from 4-10 GB was used by 3ds max (((

I use IR 90% or setup lights and materials and it's really bad for me((

Hi all,

I feel like the IR is slower as well less responsive, I've posted this in the other similar topics...Is there anyway to revert the behavior of the IR to the 1.5 one? so no adaptivity or anything? It feels more sluggish to me as well, even on simpler scenes. On complex scenes it is almost unusable sadly. This wasn't the same with 1.5.

I can't go back to 1.5 because I am using Corona Tri-planar and the awesome CIE.

Thank you!

IR in both 1.5 and 1.6 uses adaptivity, and generally works the same except for the subsampling added. Do you have that turned on? Also, are you rendering out of a physical camera? those cause some problems (3dsmax bug), try if it is better when using free view

Where I can turn on Subsampling?
Subsampling is on by default. If for some reason you would like to turn it off, you can find it in render setup>performance>dev/experimental stuff>IR subsampling - set it to 0 to turn it off. If there's no dev/experimental rollout in performance tab, you can unhide it by going to render setup>system>system settings>enable dev/experimental mode.

Did this help you?
I am unable to use interactive because it is so slow nowadays. It freezes and even Windows 10 are flipping out, minimizing/maximizing windows. Complex and non complex scenes.
