[Max] General Discussion / Thank you and goodbye!
« on: 2024-01-29, 16:41:02 »
Hi Everyone,

After 5 years with Render Legion/Chaos Czech it is time for me to move on to a new challenge.

It has really been a pleasure being a part of the team here in Prague (and beyond) and working with you, our faithful Corona Renderer users, to develop a really cool piece of software.

I just wanted to say thanks for all of your feedback, help, and definitely patience over the last 5 years!

Take care,

Rowan

Hi,

Every time I open a scene (on both PC's) I get the out of core error pop.

Disabling it, or resetting it seems to do nothing.

See attached for details. Max 2024.2, Windows 10. Daily build C12 Dec 13.

Hey,

I bet this is really frustrating. I have tried numerous times to reproduce this here, and I have failed every time. Can you provide a list of every plugin you are using and if you are using any render managers?

Cheers,

Rowan

  • Fixed color picker stuttering when changing values via HWB.
  • Fixed crash when Chaos Scatter distributes empty Corona Proxy.
  • Fixed issue where color picker was causing infinite restarts of IR and could display value with alpha < 1, when alpha was not being modified.
  • Fixed rare crash in Scanned Material.

Scatter
  • Fixed issue where using Isolate would lead Scatter to recompute and thus slow down viewport interaction. (again)

Hi,

Yeah, it does sound like thermal throttling.

I think that cooler, even configured like that, should do a better job of cooling that CPU than it's currently doing. Maybe it's worth re-pasting and re-mounting the cooler.

Cheers!

[Max] Bug Reporting / Re: Memory leak (Phoenix + Corona)
« on: 2023-12-11, 10:50:33 »
Hey,

I will render the scene a few times here and see if I can reproduce the NaN error, but that is definitely to dow ith Corona and not Phoenix. So I'm glad that at least one issue is solved here :)

I'll let you know when I have some more info with regards to the NaN issue.

Cheers,

Rowan

Hi,

This sounds like it could be thermal related, what kind of temperatures are you reaching when rendering?

Cheers,

Rowan

Still no reply and it's been two weeks. Can somebody here get them to contact me please?
I hope it's now sorted..

Hey Sam,

Is there a chance you could share the scene with me?

Thanks,

Rowan
