[Max] I need help! / Crash when click stop and no autosave

Hi all,
I have been having this issue for a while now.
I have a big scene to be rendered 8k x8k for a stereoscopic vr image. I have many Forest Packs and I have decided to double my memory ( I have now 256GB of Ram).
Now I can render the scene and through the night Corona managed to get the image to a good 2% noise (more than enough). Then I clicked stop (no denoise active) and Max crashes out with no notice.
I thought I could rely on the autosave, to my surprise, Corona managed to save only 0kb cxr.....so, no chances to get the image done.
This has been happening many times, I have tried with different secondary solvers, the problems seems related to Corona buy I might be wrong.

Any idea?

I am rendering a scene with some people walking. As long as I don't activate MB all good. As soon as I activate it, the rendering will crash.

[Max] I need help! / Alembic sequence and Motion Blur

Hi all,
I am rendering a series of fountains made with Phoenix. When I renderer them as particles, everything looks good, Motion Blur is spot on.
The problem arises when I export them as alembic sequence. No Motion Blur at all and I guess it's down to the fact Corona doesn't render Motion Blur with changing topology.
So, my question: is there a way to store the velocity channel (from Phoenix) into an Alembic sequence?

[Max] General Discussion / caustics Issue

Hi all,
I am working on a scene that relies on caustics. I was hoping I could deal with corona caustics without doing major tricks or fake post-production.
The real caustics would come out ok, the issue is the number of white dots defining the caustics themselves.
Please have a look at images.....is there any way to improve the quality?
btw....this is a kind of 'noise' that won't go away with any denoise.

Hi all,
hopefully this topic hasn't been already covered.
I know Foam is not currently supported by Corona.....does this apply to Splashes too?
I am trying to work in out, it seems the splashes shader doesn't behave properly though.

[Max] I need help! / Architectural Foam, how to do it?

Hi all,
my client is asking me to find a way to show some panels (6 meters height) of architectural foam. I attached a photo of the given sample.

I thought the best solution would be to work with Corona Fractals but after a quick research, I fear it might be a quite slow and demanding solution.

I am happy to consider any creative solution.

[Max] I need help! / Volumetric pass behind glass

Hi all,
I am working on an interior image with a big window (double glazing with thickness). Outside I have a a box for my fog.
I am trying to get the fog visible on my volumetric pass but the glass in front won't let me see it.....all black.
I have tried to make the glass not visible to masks...but this won't solve the problem. I would love to render the image just once.....is it possible?

I am about to give up and start placing each slate by hand....

[Max] I need help! / Corona Triplanar Map

Hi all,
I was wondering whether someone can help me in dealing with Corona Triplanar Map.
Basically, I have put 3 different maps in each slot. Each image has a different map channel connected with 3 different uvw map.
On viewport everything looks perfect....but in the rendering (realtime and normal) the maps are completely different.
I have tried many things with no luck. This is probably a stupid topic......

[Max] I need help! / River flowing

Hi all,
I really need your advice on a task I am going to face in few days.
Basically I need to render an animation of a river flowing under few bridges. The water will have to react with the bridge's plints and the boats and everything will be visible form the camera. It will also need to have the rigth details on ripple, waves etc.
I was thinking about real flow or phoenix. At the end of the day it's shouldn be difficult cause it will be a simple stream of water going on a confined space with few collision objects.
My concern is related to the compatibility with Corona. I am talking about velocity, foam channel, displacement etc.

If you have any other idea or solution for my task....It would be great if you can give me an advice.

Hi all,
I am trying to find out a solution for this annoying issue (perhaps I'm just stupid and the solution is very simple).
Basically....I have a volume with Volumetric material. The volumetric render pass works just fine until the volume gets behind a double glass sheet of glass.
I have tried playing with the alpha contribution.....but nothing change.
Any idea?
