If corona wire had a way to just do profiles and not all edges it would be absolutely ideal for rendering elevations. Im certain ive seen tons and tons of this same request for the past ten years. If you did it, it would likely make a ton of people very happy!

It's easily the most requested feature here on the forums, loads of different threads requesting it.  Just to clarify to the devs, we're not looking for a full 'toon' setup, we just want a wire shader that handles edges in the same way VRay Toon does and as JP says, one that doesn't highlight every single edge in the underlying geo.

I will leave Juraj to comment on his workflow :) I have tested something similar this last week though, using ComfyUI, and I can say that trying to do "face improvement" at 512x512 does not work, it just uglifies things :) For me I had to take a crop of my test image which ended up being 374 x 669, upscale it through a 4x upscaler to 1496x2672, then pass that through the Realistic model with 0.49 denoising, and then it improved clothes and faces. Trying to do that on the original crop with no upscaling just made things worse - so in the way I had things set up, a) you are not limited to 512 at all and b) 512 makes things worse.

This may be dependent on GPU memory though.

For interest, this was on a 4080 laptop GPU with 12GB memory, with similar performance seen on a 3070 Ti desktop. It was about 60 seconds to process the crop (that is to upscale it with a face sensitive upscaler, and then feed it through the model, combined in that time)

Also Tom (sorry to hijack the thread a bit here feel free to move into a new thread), i'm assuming here that your crop was of the whole person, so in effect the face was much much smaller than 374 x 669 crop.  The upscale then allowed the 'face' to fill the 512 marquee better in the resulting 1496x2672 image giving more starting fidelity for SD to work with?

Hey Tom, are you referring to an  external upscaler like Topaz here or an AI upscaler inside Stable Diffusion, just wrapping my head around all this stuff

ok, it could work, but I noticed that on the edges of the roof it would leave a void in the pattern...also I can't rotate, move, scale or overlap the tiles. 
Instead another system to have more control and be able to place more types of stones (being very random even if similar) and above all to be able to cut without leaving holes on the edges?

Have you looked at Railclone?

What I struggled with is how you present it back to the client?  Once they've done their bit, what is the delivery format to the client?  A link? A custom app? Or does my client need to download the EnvisionVR branded app Etc etc

I.e. what are they doing that I couldn't do myself?

No first hand experience other than a call with one of their sales team as you've had.

I struggled to understand their offering, their pricing, and how I'd price that back to clients.

It just want clear to me what they were offering and how I integrate it into my offering.

Finally had to chance to upload a scene Ticket #234970.  A couple of things worth noting

It's already been part optimized so not as heavy as normal but it does still exhibit everything discussed in this thread to the point of failure on one of nodes despite it rendering fine locally etc etc

It's not as optimized as it could be, I'm well aware it could be optimized further but that's besides the point.  RAM usage and subsequent failure on the nodes due to commit ram size when rendering via DR is the main point.

If you have any questions about the scene.  Why it's setup a certain way etc etc just email me.  No screenshots here please as it's confidential.

Oh and apologies for the size of the upload it's roughly 10GB worth of assets but that's typical of day to day scenes and the stuff I work on.

Does the mini dump not reveal anything?  Also the report explicitly states the Corona DLL that caused the crash no?

I'll give Scanline/Arnold a go, but as I say, as with most of the bugs I find, they're very temperamental and random.  I'll see what I can do.

To make sure the Security Tools are active, do the following: In 3ds Max, go to Customize > 3ds Max Security Tools. Make sure the Enable Protection button is checked."

The page you linked too also shows the same screenshot I attached, but it demonstrates that it'll automatically tell you if an update is needed.  Either way I installed the latest one and reopened the scene.  Nothing happened.

I'll make it happen shortly and upload the mini dump

Has anyone experienced Ctrl+Z or Undo in general consistenly crashing their scenes?  I'm in Max 2024 and Corona 11 - pretty sure it's a Max issue though.

But I'll start a new scene and everything works fine for a while.  Then (randomly) Ctrl+Z will crash Max, and from this point, any instance of Ctrl+Z in that scene results in a crash.  The rest of the scene works fine but once I've had that initial crash - Ctrl+Z becomes a no go zone.  It's driving me insane.
