Hello,
I have experienced odd behavior in Corona.

1. Render Selected Mode - Viewpot Selection
- Render of the object took 5 min

2. 1. Render Selected Mode - Viewpot Selection + Region in VFB
- Render of the same object took 9 sec.

This is quite ground breaking. I have tested it several times, works like a charm.

Even if you set the region to be the whole view?

do you have huge render resolution and small render region? In that case it would be expected

Not huge, but yes the region is small same as the object selected.

I have checked this. There is something funny going on indeed, but I cannot tell if it's a bug or something expected. I wasn't rendering in huge resolution, but the scene was pretty heavy (lots of proxies outside - trees and grass). I can check this with other scenes.

yes, this is expected - there is some extra work to discover the pixels that need to be rendered. This is done even for pixels that end up not being rendered

Would it be possible to make Corona internally do a region around the selected object?

My question is, will region+slected method result in crashes? Or its a proper way?

Or somehow cache that pixel mask after first pass.
