Thanks for all your work on improving Corona Nikola, would you mind taking another look at the yellow issue, post #77 mentions it above and it's been mentioned elsewhere. It would be very helpful when trying to tweak materials using the IR to not have to restart the IR all the time when the yellow materials make an appearance.

[C4D] Resolved Bugs / yellow shading error

Scene attached.

Start the IR, open the node material editor, disable the noise in the middle that's used as a mask and the yellow appears in the IR.

On more complex scenes whenever I see this yellow I often get a crash soon after but I couldn't replicate the crash on a simple scene - hopefully sorting the yellow issue will also deal with the crash.

[C4D] Resolved Bugs / R20 multi-instance bug

Just had a quick try in R20 with 200,000 cloned spheres onto a disc and it seems to have a bug.

Load scene, hit render, stop the render. Hit render again and you're prompted "The external renderer is calculating an image, do you wish to stop it" If you push yes C4D freezes.

There's no CPU activity in task manager.

Scene attached.

It also seems to have a very long preparing phase, approx 2:30 on this scene.

Thanks for this Rhodesy, I've been doing aiming for the 180RGB too based on comments and tutorials from Max users. It'd be good to get some feedback from the dev's on this if you haven't had any already on your other thread?

I can't check at the moment but I'm not sure it works with render instances checked when using a cloner?

I'm guessing it's running on a ninja card(s) in the video but interesting nonetheless for the fact that RS is maxing the card(s) out anyway when rendering whereas Corona (presumably) doesn't touch the graphics card at all at the moment so I'd like to think it might be even quicker on Corona?

sorry, Houska, I was trying to multitask when writing that question earlier.

When using lightmix to reduce the brightness of an HDRI a Corona Bitmap loader is added to the channel containing the HDRI after pushing the >Scene button. The exposure of the HDRI is reduced within the bitmap loader.

How is that reduction in exposure calculated?
