Pretty much as the title suggests.

How are people going about pricing VR Tours.

I'm not asking for actual costs - but just your process/thinking when pricing.

Let's assume the project is simply a VR Tour to be displayed on a website only, there are no previous still images/animations for the project.  The client wants a VR Tour and nothing else.

I charge 360 panoramas at about 150% my usual rate.

Generally the client handles the actual tour/hosting, so no other costs/fees for this on my end, but from what I understand it's pretty simple these days.

Makes sense, and what software are people using these days to compile the tours with hotspots and floorplan overlays etc

I use Pano2VR, but since last using that I've also been teaching myself javascript, so I'd probably use that to build my own portal these days.

I understand Chaos have their own system now? I think?

I know there are a few others out there though but never used any, so no comment from me on anything else.

P.S. I'd take my 150% ballpark with a grain of salt - I don't think it's 150% amount of work compared to a regular still image. It's likely a lot more, but sometimes you can get away with less detail (especially in composition).

Yes, Virtual Tours can be shared and hosted using Chaos Collaboration, see

More than half the duration of these videos about using Collaboration cover Virtual Tours in Collaboration, since we couldn't find good, detailed explanations elsewhere in other Cloud Collaboration videos, so we covered all that ground ourselves :)

As a note, coming along with Corona 12 Update 2 will be Automatic Hotspot Generation (it's in the current daily for 3ds Max), which will create and add the hotspots for you based on the cameras in the scene. With Corona 12 Update 1, you could upload your panoramas but you had to add the hotspots manually, which is what is shown in the current videos.
