[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Corona for Apple Silicon M1?
« on: 2021-11-03, 07:33:18 »
„In the meantime, it is possible to use M1 with Corona via Rosetta.“

Do you or someone else know how the performance and the stability of corona run through Rosetta is? I need a Notebook for homeoffice and the 14‘ MacBook Pro would be perfect except Corona isn’t natively supported yet.

Ok, so I did a short test just renaming the files in the scheme of the Poliigon textures and it works perfectly.
Somtimes it's just to obvious...
Now i just have to batch rename all the files but thats no problem.

So thanks everyone!

https://help.poliigon.com/en/articles/2540985-poliigon-material-converter-addon-for-cinema4d

It's not possible to adapt the plugin for other textures, or is it?
Only for the ones from poliigon, or am I wrong?

[C4D] General Discussion / Batch Material Creation
« on: 2020-01-24, 17:53:02 »
Hello everybody,

i have bought some material packs recently and also had different materials already for physical.
Now I wanted to add them to my user libary, but even putting every shader in the right slot takes houres when done by hand.
Setting up the textures has to be done by hand of course, but this can be done on the flight while working on a project.
But is there no easy way or a plugin which just puts all the color, reflection, glossiness and all the other maps in one folder in the right textur spot so you don't have to sort all of them in by hand?
I'm using Poliigon and somthing like ther material converter would be just perfect.
I've seen the "Batch material editor" but sadly it's for max, so even if it could do this it doesn't help.

Thank you in advance!

Oh, of court, thats a possibility I haven't thought of.
Maybe not the most elegant one, but this will work out, thanks.
Nevertheless it would be great if CXR would contain the Layers, maybe it could be implemented in the future.
Thanks for the help!

Okay, but is it in this case it's not possible to edit the LightMix, denoise and the other Corona specific adjustments which are possible with a CXR afterwards in the Corona Image Editor, right?
Because the workflow I would like to use is render the picture, then Fine-tune in the Corona Image Editor the Lights, denoise etc. and afterwards do the compositing in PS.
But at the moment i have to choose between having Layers in Photoshop or the possibility to use one of the greatest strength of Corona in my Opinion, the easy editing of Lights etc afterwards.

[C4D] General Discussion / No Photoshop Layers in CXR/EXR
« on: 2018-03-11, 16:30:13 »
Hey Guys,

since I started using Corona I always faced the problem with EXR/CXR Files saved from the VFB, that they only contained one Layer when I opened them in Photoshop.
I've installed ProEXR and the test file has opened just fine with multiple Layers.
If I'm saving as a PSD directly from the Picture Viewer the PSD contains all Layers like I'm used to, so it shouldn't be a problem and all the Layers show up in the Image Editor.
So how do I get multilayer CXR/EXR to work with Photoshop?

So at the moment there is no way for doing this as long as there is no way to get to that folder, which isn't possible on an external render farm like Rebus?
But even if that is the Case, your tipp is pretty useful, thanks for that!

Hey everyone,

I started using Corona for C4D about a month ago, and I'm getting used to it more and more, and with this I'm more and more amazed, coming from Physical Renderer.
One feature I love most is the options it gives for postproduktion within the VFB and especially with the Image Editor.
But I'm heading a little problem, for which I haven't figured out a solution yet.
I'm rendering very frequently at a render farm (Rebus) at the moment, so I need to use the Rendersettings "save as" for saving, which isn't giving me the possibility to save a file as a .cxr to adjust the lights, exposure etc. later in the Image Editor.
Is there any way to work around this and I'm just to stupid to find it, or is that a thing I just have to take for the moment as it is and hope for Changes?
Greetings,
