Hi,

I'm having problems trying to render using a camera in Cube Map 360° mode and using the deadline jigsaw utility. Since the final image to be assembled is more than 12K pixels, I prefer to render it in parts to reduce the memory usage, to be able to render other projects in my computers faster, since the rendering times of each region would be shorter and so this would be more agile to process all the other rendering processes by assigning them different levels of priority.

I have noticed that the dimensions of each region and the final image do match in the specified size, but each view frame in the cube map does not match. I have also noticed that it adds a strip of several pixels that is very evident when assembling the VR. This only happens when using the camera in Cube Map 360° mode. I have made renders using the camera as standard and the jigsaw deadline utility without any problem.

I hope you can see this as soon as possible, as I have to have all my images rendered as soon as possible.

In next a sample images of the first result I got in 12K and 6K, I also colored the region squares!

Greetings!

Hi,

With regards to the "strip of pixels" this is most likely caused by a small bug with the "High Quality" image filtering. I would recommend switching to the "Tent" image filter where this bug is not present.

I'm not sure I understand the other issue however, could you provide some more detail please?

Rowan

Hi Rowan,

Thanks for you reply I'll try this. But I noticed also that rendering using 3ds max regions do the last 2048px square in the 12K image in right way!

I'll be back after have tested your solution to see if that works!

Kind regards...
