Use PT + UHD / HD Cache.
Use Corona Ray Switch materials to avoid caustics emitting from reflective materials.
Turn off caustics for simple glass materials.
Replace Corona DOF with Z-Depth map and calculate DOF with Frischluft Lenscare/DOF Pro. DOF Pro calculates DOF much better than Frischluft. Frischluft is quick.
Use Corona Portal materials to optimize raytracing calculations to reduce noise.

Antialiasing is f_d up :(
Try to give more internal resolution, eventually downscale bigger render.

Looks very good. Shadows are looking very naturally. YOU ARE DOING A GOOD JOB, MAN. I felt them like as photo. Reduce a bit of chromatic aberration and add more sharpness slightly. Not on whole image, just edges. Better way to do it is on a copied layer with mask. Try to play with layers with various colour temperature / tint and mix these parts of picture to achieve slight transition between temperatures.

[Max] Resolved Bugs / Corona shading/smoothing problem
« on: 2014-11-27, 17:15:54 »

As in this picture.

I know that using higher value of MeshSmooth/TurboSmooth can solve the problem, but not at all. Anyway this problem is still annoying when you have smoothed model, but you still have this bug.
Render engines aren't perfect, but V-ray does his work with models in slightly, but very much important way.

Advantages of mid-optimized models is shorter parsing/rendering time and lower memory usage. Every renderer should be usable. But first and last thing I love is Corona. Please, don't disappoint us :-)

15 minutes in Corona A6. DOF from Corona.

Tell me more about render settings. Better way is to show screenshots.

Did you optimize rendering this way -> reflective caustics turned off through CoronaRaySwitch Mtl on floor - GI is diffuse only, but reflection/refraction and direct visible had reflection?

are caustics turned off ? you should trace is as transparent, not glass object, simple glass plane is only architectural solution with no caustics.

even you can override global illumination in corona ray switch shader

Try to use other Global Illumination for reflect/refract materials with CoronaRaySwitch Material.

nice... dem Deutschen Volke :) Haha.
I live about 100 km from Berlin. Nice city.
Good work, but oversharpened.

When applying Corona Sun - ask dialog: "Would you like to automatically add CoronaSky environment map?"
Just simple feature that saves few seconds of time....

Yep, it's just simple tube with reflection on fresnel IOR higher than 4,00 and one little planar light source. As alternative, there is also plane with CoronaLightMtl just to test two different light sources. And this additional plane is also useful to export it with rest of scene as OBJ to Kerkythea 2008 engine.

All was rendered on Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.50 GHz

There is a scene file.
