Hi there.

I'm suffering from LOOOOOONG scene parsing times, some scenes are sroung 18 minutes, others 13 minutes, other take just a few seconds or 1 or 2 minutes.

How can this be solved/debugged? Because my total render time is around 31 minutes, but the parsing is 18 minutes, so my real render time is 13 minutes, wich is awesome! but with teh parsing is horrible.

Ideas?

Cheers!

Yep, I'm trying to debug the scene hiding things, I'll report results and if I have to I'll send the entire scene to Ondra.

Cheers!

May the problem be that I'm using some geometries with PointCache(WSM) and that the cache files are one file per object instead of one file per frame/object?

Could there be a problem loading point caches? because the objects have a grand total of 1.850.000, and the complete scene including those objects have 8.100.724 polygons, so it's not a specially big scene, if I hide those objects the scene parsing is fast, but if I unhide the cached objects then the scene parsing is multiplied and takes those 18 minutes.

The RAM use is always below 75/80%, and this is with the full system working, I mean using firefox, skype and a file explorer working, of course with those objects hidden it's slightly lower, also is higher than what I said in the previous posts because I did unhide some things that were hidden in the scene just to make the debugging.

Cheers!

Is motion blur, forest pack, or (u)hd cache involved?

UHD and Motion Blur, both Camera and Object, not forest pack but I have a project that will be using it soon, also Rail Clone (is it compatible with Corona? )

Cheers.

Does parsing get better if you disable motion blur or uhd cache? Is it an outdoor scene?

I had weird results, I'll post something more conclusive tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for the test idea! I'll try to get something clear out of this.

Cheers!

Actually just now i've ran into an issue in my scene where there is endless parsing as well. It basically freezes during parsing. So yeah, probably there is something quite broken in 1.1. I will show it to Ondra in office on Monday ;)

have you tried RESET settings , then try then render.

Recently, I was having issues, while trying to render, save output files and it was just quit to desktop, no warnings or nothing. Reset render settings solved the issue.
