Hi there

Apologies if this is the wrong thread.
Last night I tried Corona 8 and I found it first and foremost a lot faster but a client actually pointed out to me that there is strange splotches on the image
I did use 4k as secondary solver and It happened in a few images. Is this something I am doing wrong ?
Please see attached

Hi Guys

Sorry the client is a bit on my neck, could someone maybe have a look at the above.
Apologies beforehand if it is something I am doing wrong.
I've tried re-rendering and same problem, just different splotches.
Have anyone else experienced something similar

Kind regards
Chris

IIRC there was similar reportings when using 4K. I think the problem was solved bu using UHD instead.

Hope it helps

Hi Chris, Sorry to hear you're having some issues. Are you able to share a stripped back version of this scene with us where this is still happening? If so, please feel free to email it to us at support@corona-renderer.com. Also, if you are able to revert back to V7 to see if this removes this issue, that would be good if you could test that.

Hi there

I extracted and send the scene. Thanks so much for having a look : )
In the interim I will revert back to ver. 07

Hi Bengamin

Apologies the problem lies with my scene and not corona 8
I reinstalled Corona 7 and the same problem, its odd I still dont know what I did wrong in the scene as I tried rendering an older scene and that rendered perfectly as can be seen from the attached renders. It is an old scene so excuse the missing textures

Thanks for all your assistance

Regards

You can try swapping from 4K to UHD Cache (depending which was being used), and you can try turning off the Adaptive Light Solver. Both are in 7 and in 8, and are potential causes. From our side though, we know it is nothing broken in 8 which is super useful, so ty for doing that test!

Hi and thanks for reporting this, we've also answered to the ticket submission. This seems like a Bloom & Glare (size/threshold) issue, please stay posted for further updates.
