Hi Guyz!
I need to resume a render, but the function doesn't work. I don't know if I make some mistakes.
Previously I save the cxr and exr file. I open the VFB click on render and then on "resume file". I try both with the cxr file and the exr but nothing...the render doesn't resume.
Could you please help me?
Thanks

Hi 8snowman8!

I just tried this functionality to make sure it's working as expected. What I did was:

  • Render a few passes and then stop and "Save CXR" from the Corona VFB
  • Close and open the scene to simulate a new session
  • Open the VFB and use the "Resume file" button

And everything worked fine for me... How exactly did you do it?

Exactly the same workflow you describe. The only difference is that I render the image with a queue plugin with autosave final image.
Then I save the cxr file, close Cinema4D. Turn off the computer. Turn on the PC, open C4D, open the file I want to resume the render, open the VFB, click on render resume file, select the cxr file, but nothing.

Update... Works, but before your third point, I've to start a new render, at least two passes, stop it and then press "resume file" and select the CXR file. Then it works. A little bit complex but works

Thanks
