during render I see the render frame buffer and the render info window of 3ds
I see info:
current task: rendering 4th pass (elapsed 0:12:23, total 0:12:55)
better report
current task: rendering pass 4 of 12 (0:12:55 estemate: 0:44:55)

this way i can foresee the remaining waiting time

Its easy to count if you think about it.

1. You render region to see how many passes you need to get a clear image at the region you chose.
2. You then press render of the image and see the first 1-2 passes that shoud not thake longer than like 4-5 min, so if your first pass takes 1:20 and second 1:24~ you can estimate, that your 100 passes will take 1:22x100 thats about 2,5hour~

whoa, slow down, we are currently at #7 ;)

For broad public it will be probably part of the first commercial release. But you can get it in daily builds in few days
