Original design LandWhale Twin Engine Vehicle. Mainly modeled with 3Ds Max (some Zbrush detailing), rendered with Corona
I used a few external kitbash kits for some parts/details of the engine and suspension.

I already disabled the firewall, and it still has the same behavior. Sometimes no problem, sometimes it freezes for 2-3 minutes.

18
Is there any update on what is causing this?

19
Thanks for the answers! I think these might work and I hope I can test them soon.

20
Thanks but not really what I meant. I mean chromatic aberration like you get with lens distortion, but only on certain materials.

21
I would like to add a chromatic aberration effect on metals (a bit of rainbow effect in high reflective areas). I image it is possible with a few shader falloff maps/channel shift? Does anyone know how to 'fake' chromatic for a certain material. I believe I have seen something like that an other renderer.

22
Both use the same monitors (KVM switch with 2 displays). I am also guessing it opens somewhere else, but how can I reset it?

23
In understand, I will try it.

24
But that does not make much sense since it works more than 75% of the time. So it must be a bug. There should not be an interaction between ending an interactive rendering and using a firewall. Also, ending a 'normal render' never gives this problem.

25
Yes I mean during Interactive rendering, but I also think it should be combined with rendering at 25% or 50% reduced resolution. So render smaller and then upscale + denoise. This would give almost instant results. When working on a 4K screen the Interactive rendering VFB is quite small when rendering at lower resolutions. Scaling the IR VFB window will increase the render resolution (and render time). Zooming in only shows part of the rendered image. I would like to be able to see the interactive renderer VFB render 2x upscaled. (Or like Adobe AE just options to render at reduced resolution upscaled)

Also since Vray and Corona are apparently one company now, and they say they will share features with each other. Why not just implement the Vray Next NVidia AI denoiser?

26
It started having the 1 to 2minute lag again, using same 3dsmax process (did not restart 3dsmax).

27
This was probably posted already, but Vray now also has the NVidia AI Denoiser. Especially useful for interactive rendering.

Vray has implemented NVidia AI Denoiser too.

I tested it on the Ryzen 16 core again today and now it seems to work (same .max file). A few days ago, whatever I tried it froze for nearly 2 minutes after interactive rendering. So I guess there is some bug, but it is not very consistent. No changes made to 3dsmax 2018 or corona installations.

30
I tested it on my older Intel 8 core, and it works fine there. Not on my new Ryzen 16 Core/32. Could it be caused by using mapped network drive? I use the same drive letter but on the Ryzen it's a mapped network drive.
