Is it possible to highlight only outlines using this texture, something like V-Ray Toon? I am looking at it but I can't seem to find it. Whatever I try I always end up highlighting complete wireframe (which I guess is what this texture is all about in the end, but I still wondered if there could be some trick to it).

Or is there some other way to do it?

It's a wireframe shader, not toon shader, unfortunately.

Thought so :) wondered if there was some catch to imitate it though. Thank you!

There might be, i need to find some time to try it out. But it definitely wont be using wiretex.

Cool, sounds great :) I will also try to come up with something myself meanwhile. Looking forward to your results!

A wild monday morning shot.

How about using a Cmasking_Mask (grayscaled desaturated)  and in post use "detect borders" in photoshop (Or after effects) and overlay over Beauty pass in Multiply mode?.

Cmasking_Mask can produce a nice "mask" of various types by material, by object manual selection, by GBuf ID etc...

That would give you a nice outline. around a selected object.
Now if you need a good  toon shader Vray has a simple one you could use (as you say).
If you need it you could render a pass in corona as beauty, and use Vray with an override material (a White one) and addd Vray toon.
You can always overlay that over a corona render in multiply mode.
Excuse my monday grammar.

What i do with Corona My Corona post of random stuff rendering

Hehe crazy Boris :) always some cute workarounds from you, I really appreciate it! Will definitely try it out tonight, thank you!

Here is a screenshot of my current project, it is very early WIP (missing more then half of the furniture and details).. just to give you a hint of what look I am trying to achieve through Corona. This is rendered with V-Ray Toon.

EDIT: Yes the outer walls are so fat :D old stone house, renovated into vacation villa with pool.

You can employ CoronaAo map too. Although it's very sensitive on angle between polygons.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

Sensitivity to angle can be controlled via directionality parameter ;)

Tried playing a bit with CoronaAO map today... didn't really came out quite good. I just can't seem to find some sweet spot or to tweak it enough to imitate V-Ray Toon effect.

Here is the comparison :/

Have you though in extracting the line as a separate element with a scanline or vray render?

Cheers.
