Title: Dental handpiece - test render
Post by: tomislavn on 2016-08-17, 11:17:40
Do you guys think this looks realistic? I am preparing for some dental equipment catalogue renderings for one company that is producing them so I gave it a test shot before starting the real deal.

All comments/critics are welcome :) Thank you!

I'm not an expert of dental equipment but it seems very realistic, good details and surfaces material :) share also other equipment renders if you want

Looks good!

Did you get STEP files from your client or did you have to model it?

Hey Ben! Thank you :)

This is one random model from my collection that I used to setup the scene. I will receive all models in Solidworks format (as far as I know).

I see. Otherwise it would have given some serious hard surface skillz. But maybe you have them already :)

Haha :) I'm with you bro, totally!

That's absolutely true - it would be a horror to do this in Max. Even though, since I am quite proficient with both SW and Inventor, I think I could handle these with ease there - then simply convert to OBJ and get them back to Max for rendering.
